was a good weekend.
just had a busy yet relaxing weekend. spent most of it stretched out on the couch watching dvds and bullshittin. i think im catchin that winter feelin, when you dont wanna do shit but stay in doors. maybe its time to wife a dimepiece. errr, like its completely my decision right?
im thinking of my schedule these coming weeks and i dont think ill have a weekend like this in months. i always say it.. the gift and the curse.
either way, ill take it with a smile.

Jay-P opening for T.I.
MySpace.com just booked me to open for a T.I. secret show on October 3! Im stoked and excited! Even if I didnt have to DJ a long set, Im still happy that I was chosen to be the only opener for the show. He's definitely one of the hottest artists in Hip Hop right now.

Fender Rhodes Piano
Im sure most musicians know whats up with this instrument. The Fender Rhodes piano is used by my favorite jazz musician Bob James. Bob James is one of the, if not the, most sampled artist by hip hop producers. A lot of Hip Hop songs were influenced and created from his work. At first it was the samples I was after, but after hearing his work, I became a true fan. On top of all that, theres just something about the Rhodes that is so addicting.... listen:
That song "Angela" is the theme song for the 80's TV series "Taxi" and was later sampled for Souls of Mischiefs' "Cab Fare." Damn, Rhodes did it again...
